Come to School too, Blue Kangaroo!

Blue Kangaroo has long been a favourite in my house and this is a delightful new story in the series. Lily is a little nervous about starting her new school and asks Blue Kangaroo whether he will come too? Of course, Blue Kangaroo is happy to oblige. This story takes children through the excitement of getting ready for school – from buying a new lunch box and pencil case, to those daunting school gates on the first morning.
Lily’s new teacher, Miss Zazou, puts Blue Kangaroo on a shelf in the classroom so he can watch what goes on and, soon, Lily is having such a good time that she has forgotten all about him… This is a magical story about the relationship between a child and their favourite toy and how important they are in helping children with big events in their lives – whether it is going to the dentist, having a sleepover or starting school.
