Limoke Oscar
Limoke Oscar has been a member of the Google Map Maker community since 2009. He completed his undergraduate studies in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Geomatic Engineering and Geospatial Information Systems from the Jommo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in Nairobi, Kenya. He hopes to pursue a postgraduate degree in the same field in the near future. He has worked as a Google Apps Technical Support Associate at Google Kenya and is currently a Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) Consultant running a geo solutions firm that he cofounded—Geoglobal East Africa Ltd. He is an avid user and contributor to Google Map Maker and other Google Geo tools and has made extensive contributions to Google Map Maker. In 2011, he was awarded a Distinguished Map Maker certificate by Google. He believes in giving back to his community through knowledge and technology as tools of empowerment. He does so by volunteering for the Wikimedia Foundation and the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) Foundation.

Compatible to employ for instructor textbook on local MapUp event

The book brief covers almost all of topic of the Google Map Maker editor and useful for new mappers who have a desire to embed geo data to the Google Maps. Especially, the book is compatible to employ for instructor textbook on local event of map maker.
There is no information about the overlay tool of the Google Map Maker in book which helps to draw geo features using kmz file.
Finally, I would like to recommend it to MapUp event organizers to teach others how to map in Google Map Maker.

Excellent starter book for Google Mapmaker!

Have you ever searched for a place on Google and it is not there -- or worse, at the wrong place? Well now you can correct the problem and enter the place location or correct it yourself! As a graduate student in GIS (Geographical Information Science) I have learned all about making maps yet we failed to cover how to use Google's free service. This e-book is an excellent introduction Instant Google Map Maker Starterfor the beginner with Google Maps and easy to follow. I heartily recommend it!
